Have you ever heard of shades of water, or that water doesn't mix with water?
Nature is so powerful and creative that some of its creations on earth are still a mystery for humans!
One of those mystery, is the place where water doesn't mixes up with water. Yes you read it correctly, there is a place on earth where you can see the amazing creation of nature where two oceans meet, but never mix up with each other and are easily distinguishable (due to there different shades!).

The place to which we are talking about is 'Gulf of Alaska', where some laws of science fails. And oceans remains in contact with each other but never mix with each other!
It is a place where nature has shown such a level of creativity that two different shades of water flow together( one with a light shade and other with a dark blue shade!).
Scientific explanation to the phenomenon
According to some science experts,
1.There are no two different oceans, but are some melting glaciers and water of the gulf!
2.The water emerging from melting of glacier is rich in minerals and laid of sediment, while the other one is a saline ocean.

3.The first one seems to be of low density and is of blue colour.While the salt content in second one makes it heavy thus giving it dark blue colour!
4.It is not the colour which prevent them from mixing with each other.
5.Their main reason for being apart from each other is there different temperature and difference in saline level!
History of it's popularity
This natural occurrence on the earth was hidden from rest of the world until the year 2007, when a team of oceanographer set out for studying the role of iron in the gulf of Alaska.
It was in 2010 when a photographer Kent smith clicked a beautiful picture of this phenomenon and uploaded it on the internet. Till 2013, it received more than 8 lakhs views from users across the globe!

According to some careful studies conducted on the gulf of Alaska,the statement that 'water doesn't mix up with each other' is partially a myth, because careful observations shows that the border of their intersection show variation and are not static.
